Paths of Life

The paths are leading us onward,

The leaves are falling around us,

Everything I see, I see with you.

I pick a flower for you and put it in your hair.

We think about what the future holds

And whether we will still be together.

I think Even we leave each other,

We will be together in heart.


 There are so many things to find out,
But I'd rather learn them with you.
There are so many places to go,
But I'd rather see them with you.
I know that you understand
And that you feel the same way
Because we are friends.

The sun is setting and I say that we should head back.

But nevertheless we keep holding hands.

Neither one wants to part.

When will we see each other again?

But we are friends and always will be.

For some reason feel so much better now.
I feel like all my burdens are lifted.

Does this mean that we can't leave each other at all?
No, but it means that we will still be together in thought.
We may have to move,
Or things are calling us.
Perhaps we will meet someone new.
But we will always love each other.

So I know we will have to leave.
We go to the end of the path,

I wisper something in her ear,
